Cookie Quest Part I

Hello Cookie Monsters! This post is dedicated to chocolate chip cookies! The reason why it is called Cookie Quest is because I'm in one! I'm looking for the best choc chip cookie recipe!
Each week I will post a recipe that I've tried and what do I think about it, obviously with it's photographs and if you like you could try it and leave a comment. You know I appreciate what you think! So, I wanna know which cookies you like the most, chewy or crispy edges & chewy center or maybe just crunchy?
Personally I prefer crispier cookies! Maybe that's why I didn't love the first recipe I tried, the cookies were chewy and... well, I'll start with my review for this recipe.
This recipe tasted good! Nothing really amazing, and also they were chewy, and flat! I don't know what happened but when they entered the oven they were round, but as time passed they became flatter!! I didn't like so much that look, but anyway, the other persons who tasted them said they were great, well, some of them were good to me and told me that maybe they were a little bit sweet. Maybe it's that I'm so demanding when it comes to cookies+chocolate or any kind of thing I cook/bake!
So, tell me, do you have any favorite recipe? Which one is it? Would you like to share it with me?
Later in part II (of an indefinite number of parts) I'll post the recipe and some photos.
Hope you like and join me throughout this cookie quest!

Cookie hugs and choc chip kisses

The jello affair

I know i've been abscent from the blog for a good time, but lately i've been busy with all the college stuff because i'm about to finish high school and deciding where to continue studying is a great decision, but... this is not the posts' point!
This post will be about the recent jello recipe I tæsted (that's for tasted and tested!)

it had a little ♥ in the center
I was excited about the idea of a creamy-foamy-spongy jello, i have tasted it before but i had never tried to do it and i wasn't sure that it would end up being this recipe the One!

Soon I´ll be "Mastering the Art of French Cooking"

Yesterday I received a great gift, it was supposed to be for Christmas, but due to excitement and all that I received it earlier (a lot). Well, that great gift was a copy of "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child, Louisette Bertholle & Simone Beck! I love that book and so the movie (Julie&Julia), I've been looking for it here in Mexico, but my search was in vain, because I couldn't find it in any bookstore, I even considered the option of ordering and paying twice the price of the book in shipping :O that didn't happen (thankfully), because my boyfriend heard all my prayers and gave it to me! I was so happy I couldn't stop hugging him!

I've already seen some pages and some recipes I want to try, and obviously I will post how they turn out!
I'm so happy and thankful!!

The best X-mas gift!! :) °<:o)

Chocolate Mug Cake

This morning was very cold, so I decided to try something different for breakfast, something that would be cheap, easy, fast, chocolate-y, and warm...yes, that was a lot to ask for! But I came with a great recipe that took me no more that 7 minutes! It was a chocolate cake made in a mug, a huge one, for which I thank my bf, when he visited Chicago he gave me a huge Reeses mug full with peanut butter cups yum! He had asked me to use it, I wasn't sure about that but today was the perfect day for the mug.
I recommend you to try this recipe :) here you can see how it looks!

It was a huge Reeses mug!

Ice cream jello

Last week I made an ice cream jello, it tasted really good, but I would have preferred to use another flavor, next time I will...
This is very easy recipe, and also it sets very quickly
Here is how you can do it!

Ice cream Jello

You´ll need:
4 cups of boiling water
half of a container of vanilla ice cream (half of 1.5 quarts)
2 large packages of jello, any flavor you want
1 packet of unflavored gelatin

First you have to mix together the boiling water with the gelatin and the jello. When the jello is completely dissolved pour in the ice cream and dissolve. When it is completely melted pour into individual molds, or into a glass dish. Let it set, if you want you can refrigerate.
Cut and serve!

This was kind of a messy try, because I was in a rush and used the glass dish as bowl to mix everything!! :O But I hope you like this recipe, it´s flavor and try it soon, leave your opinion in the comments below! and if you try it let me know how it all went!
♥Great Cooking! :D
